Introducing: The Experimental Psychopathology Laboratory

The Experimental Psychopathology Laboratory (EPL), headed by Dr. David Kimhy, is one of the newest additions to the renowned Psychosis Research Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

EPL conducts laboratory and "real-world" studies of cognitive, affective, and behavioral processes and their link to psychopathology. EPL's work centers on two primary areas:

1. The use of translational approaches to elucidate the mechanisms of development and recovery from psychopathology.

2. The development and dissemination of cognitive and behavioral interventions to improve cognitive, affective, and social functioning.
